I have been making myself a green smoothie every day for my breakfast drink. It is easy and quick to make and you can take it with you on the go, if need be. So first, you have to buy a whole bunch of kale. Blanch it and then freeze it. After that you have kale for each day...
For the smoothie put in a cup of water, a banana, and kale- I say about a hearty handful or so... I do not really measure it, just sort of eye-ball it. Of course, the more kale you use the more you will taste and the less you use the more you will taste the fruit. Blend those three ingredients and then add frozen berries- I use blueberries and strawberries- but you can use any frozen berry. Blend it all again and there you go! Take about two minutes to make each morning!
I pair that with an organic cereal, hard boiled egg, and whole grain toast and out the door I am!
