Hospital Pharmalogical Exams

Question: I have spent 2 years at a TX hospital (med-surg) and am looking at agency work and they give a pharmacological exam to applicants. I remember taking one when I started at the facility but it was all math (drips, conversions dosages) with maybe 2 insulin questions. Has anyone taken any of these tests recently? What am I going to be looking at? Thanks for any advice.

maybe you simply need to brush up on your math for nursing skills. a quick hit on google search terms "math for nursing practice" brought up some word problems that any nurse should be able to solve.

Many facilities are doing NCLEX type critical thinking scenario questions with Pharm thrown in. One is PBDS you can google to find examples. I would refresher my conversions and equivalencies and do some basic conversion question like Bfmayock suggested then, think of things that most nurses are expected to know like Aminoglycoside side effects, side effects and toxic effects of Dig and Vanco, maybe review TPN and Blood administration as well.
