Default Hi to all nurses and nurses to be

Nursing is never a sunset industry but sad to say when you are approaching 50, you do not get hire.

    Brenglen,

Are you thinking about going back to school, switching careers, or just making a point? Know that there are options out there to keep you employed even if you want to change careers. Like Tofayel said, experience is key! You are more likely to be employed if you have experience, so don't let age override experience. Hope this helps!

I became a RN at 52 that was 7 years ago. In 7 years I have applied for 2 positions & hired each time. At our age they know we are serious about our profession & not there to play or get caught up in a lot of silly drama.
