    Default Nurse Language Helper

There is a new text members might be interested in. The 'Nurse and Patient Language Helper' has translations in 50 common migrant and refugee languages to assist in bedside care. The 'care focussed' phrases are in English and then matched next to the same meaning phrase in the other language, so you only have to point. It also has a supplement for mid-wives and support materials. They do have their own website..

    Cool

argen, Thank you for sharing this information. Having said that, I personally have taken it upon myself to teach common phrases in 3 other languages besides English for the past two years. It began with 2 nurses and it has develop into 15 nurses, we meet every other day during lunch, and some classes flow after my 12hr. shift. Needless to say, it has helped my colleagues, and each time we meet I have noticed the improvement and self confidence with each lesson.
