Angry Unjustly dismissed from Nursing school

I was unjustly dismissed from Spencerian College a week ago. I recently found out that this school is known for failing students and collecting the money. My credits will not transfer and I have three small kids20,000 in debt and a class action lawsuit that awaits. I would of graduated in June but that doesn't help me now. What would you do if this was you ?????

Well I have to say that I am posting on this forum to make anyone that is going to go to Spencerian College in Louisville, KY in ANY of the nursing programs aware of what it is you're going to be in for! I am currently going there and if, by the sheer grace of God, I get out of there with any dignity at all intact, it will be a blessing. The director of the nursing program is a pompous, out-of-control, ego-maniacal male who I truly believe has borderline personality disorder with a narcisstic complex. He's like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, charging into classrooms, cussing students with every breath, threatening to kick them out of the program if they so much as even deign to disagree with him in any way. He hates anyone who isn't white. If you're gay or overweight, be ready to bear the brunt of his disdain as well. The good news is, if you are thin, blonde (whether naturally or from a bottle), and bat your eyelashes at him and wear a low-cut, tight blouse, you will be shown great favor, especially, according to the many rumors, if you do any favors for him (wink wink!!). My sympathies and condolences go out to his wife! I witness this behavior on a a near-daily basis when I am on campus and he is there. He has a male asssistant director of nursing and a female clinical coordinator who are both literally Gestapo-ish in their actions, following him into the classrooms to reinforce whatever it is that is being said is followed through with and ready to confront you in the event that you even look like you are going to even think about disagreeing with whatever it is that is going down. I am a grown, adult student who returned to school after many years to follow a dream to be a nurse. I really don't have an issue about the program, the curriculum or any of my training, but this madness that I have just described, I will not miss when I finally get out of there. I paid this "institution" too much to be subjected to the abuse that I and fellow classmates and students have endured under the "leadership" of this man and his henchmen. The dean refuses to do anything about him because he just championed their cause to the Kentucky Board of Nursing to get their RN Program back because they lost it in 2010 and getting it back means that there will be even more revenue generated for the college. Right now, this man believes himself to be invincible. I have not at this time made any sort of a formal complaint to anyone becuase I refuse to be targeted by this group and get kicked out of the program and forfeit all of the good, hard work that I have done and all that I have accomplished. There will be a day of reckoning for these people because I will speak out about this, all in good time!! What goes around, comes around, as the old saying goes. They are their own worst enemy. Thanks for letting me vent and I welcome any and all opinions on this subject.

Hi Dontbavictum...I read your post and...I feel for you..I really do...I have been in your place....it's devastating...it is...in my case I cried like a baby...my son was about 9 at the time..I re-grouped...and went back to work as a Cena...and applied to another Nursing program....and went there... I did graduate from that 2nd Nursing program...that was 10yrs ago....I live in the Mid-west.... up here there are many nursing programs to choose from...If you haven't gone back already...is relocation something you might consider?...in Ohio......they have a nursing program in the city of Toledo that a student could test out in..... meaning that the student didn't have to start at the beginning...they could start 6mos in...with only 6mos to complete.....I would call them and check it out...because if someone could test out start in Aug.2012...and complete the program...let's say in Feb 2013...it is worth it to call them and see if the option of testing out is still available......It's not over.....there are other Nursing programs....Good Luck!
