Default We need to get politicaly active to change the healthcare environment.

In-active Nurses, Nurse Refreshers and all active Nurses: Please email, call, or mail your local representative to vote for HB 575 which adds Patient Advocacy Protections for Nurses. One of the things this bill will do is create the role of a Nurse Advocate. This is a much needed role in all the facilities. This person will be educated and certifed by TNA to go back to the hospitals and educate and assist nurses with knowing their options like when to invoke Safe Harbor, the process for doing Safe Harbor, the process of Incident Based and Safe Harbor Peer Review, their rights, etc. It is good for nursing and good for the patients we are caring for. For more info go to The Texas Nurses Association website www.texasnurses.org and especially read about the case of the nurses that were criminally charged for reporting a physican's poor practices. This happened in Winkler County. It takes numbers to make things happen. Join your local nursing association today! One person can make a difference!

yes no doubt one person can make the difference and i will try to pass the message. We actually need a firm movement to provoke such thoughts to prove our rights as a nurse.Hope this gets some fire from all nurses.

I agree. We should certainly make a move to let the government know.

The only entity that helped me as an RN was a UNION!

Thank you so much for your link!! I was recently discharged from a job because after many futile attempts to talk with my manager regarding issues I had been having, I went to my nursing director and within a week I was out of there like a dirty shirt! I am devastated, I have been in nursing for 31 yrs and recently received my bachelors degree and continued on for my masters. I threw my nursing shoes in the trash. I worked hard at my job in Pacu for 12 yrs and was very good at it, yet this has happened. I had no advocate and I have been through the mill, ostrasized and bullied by my manager and my co workers..my best friend turned on me and they made it look like I was the one out of control. Good for you and your concern!

Yeah, we really need to get vocal. The healthcare system is a real mess and nurses are going to be more and more important as things continue to fall apart and the population continues to age. We can't just sit around...we need to do something!

Health management is one of the most popular professions as per the recent survey. Since health or hospital management is turning out to be increasingly privatized so there is great requirement of not only skilled doctors but also effective hospital administration tools. Hospital management systems make the best utilization of available information technology and improved telephonic infrastructure which will manage hospital in effective ways.

All your comment for healthcare system are welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

We would love to help support your local nursing association. If you can send me the details for your organization, we will custom design shirts that show pride, commitment, and will help advocate your cause. We currently have shirts designed for the ENA (Emergency Nurses Association) and would be more than happy to help with your organization too.

    Best Regards,

    Kimberly
