You can do online nursing prerequisites any time. Your problem will come when it is time to go into the nursing program itself. You have to have a plan to allow for attendance otherwise it won't happen.

Thank you for replying Maire. I understand this. When the time will come for the nursing school itself i hope i'll figure out something. Do you know any good online nursing prerequisits courses?

Whether you are enrolling in a higher education program for the first time, returning to school, transferring from one community college to another or moving onto university, there are certain nursing prerequisites that must be completed in order to obtain your nursing degree. Although each college or university has their own set of course prerequisites, it is safe to say that almost all of them will require that a nursing candidate satisfactorily compete courses in:

    Anatomy and Physiology ( 6-8 credits )
    Chemistry ( 4 credits )
    Microbiology ( 4 credits )
    Nutrition ( 3 credits )

There are several schools that many people take online nursing prerequisites from. Here are some of them: University of New England, www.une.edu/com/online Ocean County Community College in NJ, www.ocean.edu Consortium of community colleges in Colorado, www.ccconline.org There are others also, but these three are some of the most popular. Students who seek to establish a career in nursing need to have a high school diploma or GED. As gaining admission into a nursing training program can be hard; the candidates need to maintain a certain grade point average. They should score above average in different subjects and also be regular in classes. Particularly, good grades and attendance in nursing major classes like health science, biology etc. are very important for enrolling in entry level nursing programs such as associates degree.

It is a good idea to get started on pre-requisites. After that though, you could do your nursing degree online but still you probably have to sacrifice some working time towards it. It’s a big decision and being the sole provider only compounds the weight of it. Independence University has healthcare programs online for you to just get an idea of what kinds of programs are available. Also, Independence University is accredited by ACCSC so no worries there.

Fortunately it is possible now a days if you are working full time and can not continue your study then best option is the go online. I am also doing my master in nursing online because i am unable to manage time for traditional campus classes but online classes are more feasible and i can attend them whenever i want.

Don't apply or attend any nursing programs that are not accredited by the NLN. Most health care organizations will not hire you if the school you attend is not accredited by NLN nor will you be able to go to a reputability Graduate Nursing program.

I did my gen ed requirements online at Unitek College to get into their rn program. It was rad because I wasn’t forced to shrink my hours to part time at work. It’s definitely worth it instead of wasting gas going to class, or even having to go 2 different schools. It kind of helps us students in more ways these schools even realize when they offer stuff like this.
