While texting is now prohibited while driving, why is eating while driving tolerated? Doesn't this also become a cause for accidents?

Each time I read the REVELATION about good hygiene ie bathing the patient & making it a "New Standard" I want to scream. I have been nursing 45+ years & would like to know when microbiology 101 -daily cleansing of our largest organ, the skin was stopped. We wonder why MRSA is so rampart. This was not a major issue when EVERY PATIENT got good daily hygeine. A patient ,who today is a higher acuity can not be responsible for this. This has been proven again by just talking a small segement in the ICU as in the article "HCA hospitals throw a punch at MRSA." We don't need to waste the time to study this, just do it. Most patients are in for days & discharged with no hygiene having been done. The patient has been the victum of increasing techology , we as nurses have let them down.

I remember those days. I've been an RN for 32 years. We used to call it AM Care. Now we are supposed to concern ourselves with butt kissing, tool boxes( prizes for perceived screw ups or having to wait our turn) and the hotel like atmosphere brought about by the intrusion of business swamp people. When we were bathing patients and doing nursing care we didn't have all this HAI's. I think the microbes came with the business entities(CEO's and Cheif financial officers) off their snotty sleeves- the dirty germy lots that they are.
