I am a third year BSN student, and I am hoping to begin my career in med/surg nursing. does anyone have any suggestions on how I can best prepare myself and how to make myself more attractive to employers?

As I am still in nursing school I am trying to get my foot in the door at local hospitals to work as an aid, but so far am having no luck, so any advise on how to get noticed would also be super helpful. thanks guys!

make friends at clinicals with the person who hires and ask them to give you a heads up if they have any openings. Consider a nursing home, it will give you experience for hospital work at the least.
