    Angry old bandaid/new problems

Recently I have seen a lot of hospitals are closing their doors on their patients. Nursing schools are opening their doors and enrolling new students because quote and quote this is the right profession to be in because of the financial meltdown. If there are less hosptals to take care of our sick and dying and layoff nurses are finding themselves on the unemployment line what does that say about us as the wealthiest nation. If this health care revision, I want no part of it. Let us get back to a culture of caring. Let me know what you think.

    Cool

I think there is now a health care bill to prevent this kind of case. But it is inhuman for a hospital to close their doors to patient. Their are plans for health care where everyone " i think" will be more benefited

Actually, Eastern Europe (Romania specifically) is closing hospitals. SOmething to think about with the new health care bill. If you haven't read the bill don't respond.

You compare us to Romania, really. This bill isn't even national health care, it doesn't go has far as either Canada or Britian. It's just a bandaid.

Unfortunately this health care bill is a "Valentine" to the Insurance and Drug Industries as is Medicare part D. However, without these concessions NOTHING would change and change is drastically needed in our Nation.

Hospitals are already not allowed by existing EMTALA laws to either refuse or dump patients, check out these laws. This new Affordable and Patient Protection Act that is being enacted with do neither, either make it affordable or to protect patients. Need to read it all people. The only thing that this "Act" will accomplish is to take this country over the financial cliff. They'd never addressed any of the issues that had caused the need to address healthcare in the first place, namely that of insurance reform (accessibility), big Pharma, and then Tort reform. Then, how about all those who'd sought and had actually obtained the waivers? Those who wanted it won't be affected by it. Many other issues to consider, address, and ask questions about. It's all about governmental control of the populous.

Yes, most people don't understand the impact this "Act" will have on the common working people and how negatively the "Act" will affect the current healthcare system.
