In the Maryland area?
Have you tried an internet search? You might also try the staff education department of one of the local hospitals. Good luck finding this info.

To be oncology certified, you must have at least 1000 hours of oncology experience; I forget what the experience requirement is overall for RN.
There are chemo-provider courses taught all over the US; it's not a certification. It's like ACLS/BLS. You can get info on where to find a chemo-provider course in your area through ONS. If it's your first time taking it, it's a two day course prior to taking the test.

Here's the specific information about certification:

Try ONS.org website to see where and when they offer chemo/biotherapy courses. I hope you find one.
Yes, the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is one of the best places to get resources and info regarding anything relating to oncology nursing. Just go to the ONS website. I am an oncology nurse in Florida. I would be happy to help you with any "newbie" questions you may have.![]()
