    Default Electronic Medical Records

Hi everyone! I am new to nurse.com. I want to ask if any of you can recommend computerized charting/electronic medical record software for long term care. I am in a search for software that will meet our financial needs as well as clinical. I have heard of facilities that have switched to EMRs and have gone or almost gone paperless. If anyone knows of the software or can put in in touch in a facility that has had success, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi there,

I responded to your other post as well. I used to implement EMRs at Kaiser Permanente and they used Epic software. I am sorry I don't have any cost info for you.

    Good luck,

    Julie

Liability insurers increasingly recognize EMR as one important method of reducing liability and exposure. Electronic drug regimen review improves safety by reducing medication errors. Some offer significant discounts to those physicians using an EMR.

All your comment for Electronic Medical Records are welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

Greenway PrimeSUITE and Optimus EMR's Long Term Care are two good EMR software that may help you alot. If you'd do a quick search, you'll get good reviews for both. They've got features that'll make it easy for people to cope up with the new system. I'm sure you'll love them.
