Having been thru the endorsement process in NJ it was quite easy although I know they have adopted more requirements such as fingerprinting since I got my endorsement. You can start here to get the requirments you need to fulfill:

    Certainly.

Is SSN a social security number?

    And what does PRN/USRN mean?

I hope you will continue to use this BB to ask questions-we need some new members to become active.

Glad I could give you a starting place.

    Good luck!

BTW, here is the page you need from NJ Dept of Consumer Affairs. It has the link for RN application by endorsement.

Wow. I would have thought NJ and CA would be on that list. I'm surprised.

Anyone know how long the process takes for a NJ license by endorsement? The NJ BON says 6-8 weeks, is that about right, or does it generally go shorter or longer than that?

Is having an SSN (social sec #) a requirement for an NJ license by endorsement?

SSNs are required to work in all states. They are also used for identification purposes, although that is not what the card was originally meant for. No state will issue a license without providing the SSN.

Go to the New Jersey BON website http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/nur...plications.htm and apply for endorsement.
