Looking for a supplement job...

I have been online trying to find a supplement job including working with nurse.com for three weeks. Unemployment has hit every member of my household and I am the only one working right now. Normally, I receive several emails and calls, but this time nothing. I live in the Midwest (Chicago area). I revamped my resume, followed up on some networking leads, and have called the human resources department. They tell me to check online periodically for responses. Could it be that the reccession is hitting us too in finding employement right now?? Anyone else out there trying to supplement their income?

We know that we have economic problem not only here in our country but around the globe, but if you are not a picky nurse you will find a job somewhere there like working under health agency as a temporary. I know is hard to work under health agency because you need to adjust to hospital staff, sometimes they will give you a hard patient, but I guess, it will be okey because you are caring the sick person and at the same time you will increase your knowledge and skill in nursing and you will earn money to survive.
