    Default Nursing Scrubs

So, I recently graduated from the University of Scranton with my nursing degree! YAY! So here's my deal - I'm kinda a fashion maven; I love pretty clothes, stiletto heels and dangley jewelry - not so good for a career in nursing. My college scrubs were inexpensive and used just to get me by, but now I'm looking for some really good quality nursing scrubs. I found a site - www.scrubs-max.com - that seems to have some great prints and cheap prices - great for a girl just starting out. Has anyone ever bought from them before? How is the quality of their medical scrubs??

    Thanks!

you might like smart scrubs, or koi brand - koi brand is fantastic.

NEVER wear dangly earrings out to clinicals or work - I have hears of some patients ripping them right out.

Also keep in mind that whatever you buy, plan on getting it stained..... occupational hazard...

I've always bought from either UniformCity or Jasco. I particularly like to look for their scrubs that are on sale. Right now I'm overweight (a lot) so it will quite a long time before I get any new scrubs.

I've heard that a newer brand that's really popular now is Gray's Anatomy scrubs, because they are super soft and comfortable. I believe they are put out by Barco. They are worn by the actors on the TV show.

thanks for the suggestions! I totally want to try out the Katherine Heigl, Grey's Anatomy line. I've heard some great things about it. Another of my favs you might like to try is the Kimmora Lee Simmons Baby Phat line. Super cute!

Hello! My name is Cyntoria and I am currently a student at Northwest Technical College in Minden, Louisiana. I have always wanted to work with children as well as the elderly which is why I'm choosing a career as a Liscensed Practical Nurse. Most of messages I've read on this site are from graduates and already nurses, but in do time I will be able to write my opinions and give my advice as well!

make sure that whatever place you work does not have a dress code against certain styles or colors, some places only allow white pants, some do not allow prints unless they are on a white background, certain designs are not allowed, etc. so before you spend your money make sure of the dress code.

SINCE WHEN can't you wear STILETTOS to WORK? C'mon! Where are you people AT? I do it all the time!

Seriously though, my floor is supposed to have a dress code for either Ceil Blue or White pants, and "appropriate" tops. But half the people come in with dark blue, purple, or even black (especially on football days -- this is the land of the "STILLERS" by the way, and I hate the way these people out here talk!). But I'm always a good boy and wear either white or cb...

... and maybe someday they'll come out with nurse-quality padded stilettos or something... I know a couple of 4'9" nurses who could really use them...
