Now it depends. Some places have strict dressing codes some are not.I think custom made pure cotton uniforms or colorful modern scrubs can be a good option. Thanks

This is my first post but thought I would express my opinion, I like the professional look myself, I also so like for people to wear their name badge and most work places this is a requirement, I preferred the scrubs as they were practical, less expensive then dress clothes, laundry friendly and if taken out of the dryer timely didn't require ironing, that's just my personal opinion for what it is worth, the biggest issue with the uniform I had was it is easy to gain wt. as you are tying the scrubs and you can put the pounds on it and not realize it unless you are wearing rather tight scrubs. Most Doctors I worked with preferred that Nurses be in White and dressed professionally so they didn't have to try to determine who was working in housekeeping, who the Nursing staff were, etc.
But again everyone has their own preference.
Funny, from a nursing perspective I always liked a more professional look, but now that I have a kid I am liking the cute scrubs for pediatrics more and more. My son really gets a kick out of the cartoons and prints on the scrubs, and I, in turn, appreciate the nurses who make the effort to play with him and talk about the pictures on their scrubs.
I think if you are going for professionalism dressing sense should be proper. For nurses scrubs are the best option as scrubs are most comfortable while working..
I agree...we should look professional with our uniforms/scrubs and its equally important to be comfortable as well
