I'm so sorry-Prayers going up.
Paula,
I had no idea that your granddaughter had such health problems. I will definitely offer a prayer for her, her care-givers and your family. Please keep us updated. How old is she?
Ah Paula, I am sorry your granddaughter is going though all that pain and surgeries. My prayers have gone up for her. God Bless.
PaulaJo, spending all day in an ICU with pregnant pt yesterday, I can only imagine how scary it could be to a 8yr old. Prayers go out to the little girl and your whole family in hopes of finding the cause and proper treatment.
Thanks guys. She is 11, had her 8th surgery when she was 7, there really wasn't anything more they could do. We have been praying that medical tech. would find answers before she got bad.
The feeling this morning is that at some point she had a bleed. The clot in her lung is not lethal 'at the moment'. They can't do body scan because she is down to her last IV site and they are afraid to do surgery to put in a line.
They haven't been able to get ahold of her surgeon in Boston. He flys all over the world doing surgery and seems to be the only one who can handle KT. Pray for this man too, he is getting older and there doesn't seem to be anyone stepping up to fill his shoes.
She is in terrible pain and of course the 'cure' for pain from clots is to resolve the clot..........
I have never heard of this disease. Be assured that I will know shortly.
I hate that any child suffers, it is so unfair.
I will also pray for the Drs. who have it in their hands to do the best they are able. And pray their best is good enough.
so unfair!!
Paula, I never heard of this condition either. Is this the same child who fx her wrist recently? I wish I could help in some way, but I can certainly pray. Is she in a hospital in Boston? It must be so hard not to be able to be with her. We must all storm heaven with our prayers so that this little girl is home again soon.
God bless your granddaughter and all your family. What a long, hard row this child has had in the last 11 years. I will pray for all of you. Keep us posted and know we are here for you.
So sorry Paula. Prayers for your granddaughter, family and caregivers.
I will add my prayers and positive thoughts that your grandbaby will feel better soon and that God will guide the surgeons hands.
Thoughts and prayers going out for your grand daughter and family. I hope the doctors are able to help her, or that they find her doctor soon. I hate to see a child go through any illness or suffering.
My prayers go out to your family, as well.
Each of my kids has an unusual congenital disorder - one has midgut malrotation and needed abd surgery just before he turned 6, and the other has a very mild form of 'cherubism' which is a hyperplasia of the jaw bones.
We are lucky that they are both fine now.
I can relate to the feeling that no one really knows what's going on.
Also, my MIL has Picks' dementia and doesn't fit into the Alzheimer's classifications, so we had lots of problems getting professionals to understand her issues.
So sorry to hear about this. I, too, feel that this sort of thing happening to a child is extremely unfair.
Prayers for you, yours, and all of your granddaughter's caretakers.
Paula, I never knew this & have never heard of it either.I am so sorry for M. Please know that she will be in my prayers & all of you for peace & calmness.
Love, LAH,Les
I'll get down on my knees and implore Jesus to heal her. Might as well ask Him to heal her completely while I'm down there.
