I am reviewing our policy for PREVENTION of RETAINED SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS. I would like to know of other institutions policy in counting instruments ( apart from sponges and sharps) for Vaginal Cases such as Vaginal Hysterectomy, Anterior/ Posterior Vaginal Repair. Do you or do you not count instruments for these kind of cases?
