One of the most important things I asked as a new grad.

There are obviously lots of important things I asked and learned as a new grad., but probably one of the most important questions I asked my mentor was……………..

“How long did it take you to start to feel comfortable as a nurse? How long does it take to feel like you know what you are doing”?

The answer, was a great relief………… “A year to a year and a half!”

That answer helped me so much in the fact that I was on course. I was not missing it!

So, what was one of YOUR most important lessons?

It will depend on the person, some may feel confident after just a few months, others may take longer.
