Default usefulness of german as a nurse

Hi! I am a soon-to-be student nurse, and I was wondering how useful it would be to be able to speak German in a hospital setting. I have been learning German for the last 4 years, and I really enjoy it, but is it a marketable skill? or should I start up Spanish instead?

Welcome to the forum! The usefulness of your skill in speaking German language may depend on where you are located. Anyway, it won't be a disadvantage if you're going to learn Spanish too right??

Welcome to the forum. If you plan to do travel nursing and will go to countries that speak German then it will be highly useful. Spanish is more likely to be useful since there will be Hispanic patients.
