Hello! I am a hospice nurse in Tampa, FL, and LOVE it. I do hope to branch in to wound care, as I see a need for improved knowledge in the area of wound assessment and care in the Hospice & Palliative Care setting. Any ideas as to best way to get my foot in a door...?

Some wound care clinics will take you on and train you. Some will recommend specialized training. Knock on doors and wait until the right one opens. My friend's a wound care patient and one of her nurses was hired out of nursing school. Depends on the facility.

I think you need to do research on where you would want to practice this. I am sure there are hospitals you can ask around or even through online.
