RN and Stay-At-Home Mom...looking for encouragement
Hello! My name is Elizabeth. I'm currently at stay-at-home Mom to my 3 kids (11,9 and 4). I have stayed home for the last 6 years, but I'm hoping to return to nursing next year. Before staying home with my kids I worked L&D for 8 years. I would love to get a job as a public health nurse some day. I'm hoping to come on this site for encouragement. I have found that nurses not only "eat their young," but it also "eat their inactive." I have gotten nothing but discouraging comments from other nurses about returning to nursing. I'm hoping there are some former inactive nurses that will be willing to share their stories with me
(Just want to clarify, I do have an active RN license. When I say inactive, I mean not currently working.)
I wish you good luck in our positive outlook. Sad to say there will be people who might have negative outlooks in life but there are also people who believe in being positive. I wish you well and hope you will find good persons that will encourage instead of discourage you.
