    Hello everyone,
I am a 66 yr. old female with over 20 yrs. nursing experience. I act, feel and look like I am in my early 50's. I have been out of the nursing field for 13 yrs. and wish to get back into nursing. I am considering signing up for an R.N. refresher course at UC San Marcos. The cost is $3500.00 plus other expenses. This is a lot of money to me and I am trying to figure out if successfully passing this course will pay-out in my getting a job in any area of nursing. I would really appreciate any feedback I can get. Thank you so much!!

    Hello mam,
Welcome to the forum. I wanna ask you isn't their any cheaper institute near you if it cost you much then why not to choose some good and cheaper institute by contacting the other experienced people near you and you can also do some search on Google regarding that.

Do a search in your community regarding the need for additional nurses. Many areas are saturated with R.N.s and new grad are having difficulty finding their first job. Have you kept your license current?

Maybe you can look for a cheaper refresher course. Try to canvass first before deciding.
