    Default Univeristy of Phoenix

Hi everyone, I am a registered nurse since 2005. I'm looking to finally finish my BSN then possibly my MSN. I'm most likely going to take online classes. My husband has an MBA from a good school and from his perspective, he believes the for-profit schools, i.e. University of Phoenix, Chamberlain etc., are not well regarded, especially in non-nursing careers. His concern is I finish my BSN and then in 4 to 5 years, hospitals look down upon a degree from Phoenix, hence I would have wasted valuable time and money for a worthless degree. Does anyone know if recruiters or HR staff in hospitals have looked down upon BSNs from the University of Phoenix? Has anyone heard of stories whereas BSNs from Phoenix didn't even make it to the interview? I'm in NYC now but may relocate to either Miami or possibly California in the near future, so if anyone in those areas have heard any positive or negative coming out of the HR departments or general recruiters regarding Phoenix, please let me know.

    Thank you,

    Thank you,
I graduated UoP this past Summer with my Masters of Science in Nursing

Most people recognize the program there as being pretty hard, and nothing to sneeze at. As far as online degrees go, UoP are the original pioneers of online education.
