hello all, i decided to join this forum b/c i want to be a better nurse! i'm currently an LPN, have been for about 5 years. now i'm working towards my RN. my whole career as an LPN i've worked in a nursing home, it's a lot more work than people would think! busy busy busy on a rehab unit with some long term residents sprinkled in there. anyways, i'd like to hear from some nurses that work in more acute care, which type of unit you work on, pros, cons, etc. i'm still trying to decide 'what i want to be when i grow up'. med/surg? surgical nurse? ICU? doctors office? looking forward to any responses, thanks!
