Question Graduated in 2007 and never took the NCLEX. What do I do now?

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site and I'm hoping to please find some guidance and advice.
I graduated in 2007 and never took the NCLEX exam in my state (NJ). I now feel ready to take it but don't know where to start. I have been out of school since graduating and to be honest, I know I need a refresher course of some sort. When doing some research I came accross an NCLEX preparation course given to students who just graduated and are preparing to take the NCLEX for the first time, I took that same course when I graduated, but its only about two weeks long and costs $450. Will that be enough to prepare me for the test after being out of school for so many years? I don't think it will cover everything I may need, maybe enough for the test but not enough to feel up to date and to practice in the real world. Any thoughts or advice?

Welcome to the forum. First of all, there are a number of ways for you to review for the NCLEX. You can take the refresher course, there are also online sites that you can visit that maybe offer more affordable alternatives for review. There are also reviewer books that you can read and study. If all else fails, then you can ask your former classmates if they still have their NCLEX reviewers and maybe if you can borrow them.
