New member, March of Dimes Employee, Nurse of the Year Award Coordinator
Hi everyone!
My name is Kerry Shearer and I work for the New Jersey chapter of the March of Dimes. I am the coordinator for our 7th annual state wide Nurse of the Year Awards. This gala will honor nurses who excel in their field in one of 16 different categories.
Each year in New Jersey, 1 IN 8 babies is born too small and too soon; over 534,000 babies across the United States do not get a healthty start in life...over 534,000 families who do not experience the joy of a full-term, healthy baby. Premature birth can also lead to life long birth defects and is the leading cause of infant death before the age of one.
The March of Dimes' mission is for all babies to be born healthy and strong. We are the champions for moms, dads, and babies. We are there for families before, during, and after pregnancy. The March of Dimes carries out its mission through programs of research, education, community service, and advocacy.
If you have any questions on this event, please respond to this thread and i will contact you as soon as i can.
