Just googled lack of jobs in nursing and found this site. I can't believe how many nurses are unemployed. I graduated May 2011 with a lot of debt and have never been able to find a job. I have applied for jobs in my state and different other states. I applied hospitals, LTC's, community health centers, school nursing and all I get is rejection emails that say I do not have one year experience or more! Where are my supposed to get experience if I can't be given a chance? I am volunteering and doing some CNA job right now. Some articles I read online say the job market will be great by 2017! Wow, I will be an old grad then! I figured I would go back to school and now I am studying for MCAT to start medical school soon. I love very much to be in health care and I figured the best way to go is Medical school because I will be assured of residency even in rural places. I can't let the nursing job shortages put me down!
