I got my Bachelor of Nursing Outside of the U.S. (BSN) 10 years ago. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience 5 years ago. Then I came to the U.S. working as a research fellow (postdoc). In 2011 I passed the NCLEX exam and obtained the Registered Nurse License.

I hope to start my RN career. But I did not attend any school here, and I do not have any clinic or nursing experience in the U.S.

Could you please advice what is the best way to get started?

Specifically:
1. What departments or employers are likely to employ greenhands like me?
2. What's the best course to effecitively gain relavent experience?
3. What other things I can do to make myself more marketable in this field?
4. Are programs like "Registered nurse refresher program" suitable for me? Are they worth it to break into the industry?
