Default Hello new, but excited to meet all of you

Not much to chat it up on the web but I browse now and then through nursing info to keep up. Just one thing I found out personally this week...."Nurses don't eat their young, they eat their old!". The older nurse is becoming disposable for the cheaper, young nurses. Those who have broke their backs for the sake of patient care among poor working conditions in some instances, are getting pushed out for the healthy young ones. I started a new job this week and I was thrown to the wolves, the young wolves. I wasn't part of their click and they weren't part of my hiring, therefore they did everything to get me out so they can put in another more fitting to their click. I would never have done anything like that. I love helping any other nurse out when in need. ANY.

Me and my elder sister, we both are into this profession. She is an RN , and me a Nursing assistant as of now. I was wondering if I have any other better opportunities to make my career go ahead or should I also become a registered nurse just like my sis.

Its really tremendous to have on such kind of station where all of us can share our experiences and new techniques .. And how can the problems can be tackled could also be shared .......... Basically i think that our profession is the most different one than others because we do provide our services at all times to the patients and can not deny any one....
