Hello everyone High School Graduate looking for options in healthcare
Hello, Just came across this forums from a google search. I was wondering if anyone could sum up a few myths and facts for me.
My Location: Marin County , Sacramento
Q1: Is it true that getting your certificate to be an EMT, hospitals will be more likely to accept you into an assistants job in the ER? heard that was a good path. I also heard that if you work as an ER assistant for 6 months the hospital will pay for your tuition for nursing school.
Q2: What is a good 1 year program to get me started? such as an accelerated program? Is Unitek a good source for education?
I am trying to go through the process of being a licensed LVN then while I'm in practice being an LVN , i want to be going to school studying for my RN license. Does this sound right? i want to hear everyones opinions about this path because i have been thrown in many different directions.
I would like details about job placement. Salary avg per area of CA. Thank you
