ebooks or not?

Hello all!
I am beginning a nursing program in the fall, and I was wondering if anyone has used ebooks for textbooks in the past. These are available for some of my classes, and I was thinking about trying it out. I have a regular Kindle, but would probably get either a Kindle Fire or iPad to use with textbooks. Is this a good idea or should I stick with regular textbooks? Any thoughts or experiences?

I have a Kindle Fire and my plan is to completely go ebook. (Starting in the fall.) I know of friends who've used it for other degrees and it was extremely helpful. Plus, I travel a lot so it's great to have to study because then I'm not lugging around these massive text books.
