Hi

I've been a med surg nurse for 3.5 years and would like to transition to the ED. I've applied for multiple jobs in Washington DC, NYC, and FL with no luck. They all require previous experience. I thought that having a foundation in med surg would help me get a job in the ED. I am also BLS and ACLS certified. Can someone shed some light on why its so hard to get this job? And give me some tips on how to go about getting one?
