    Default LPN to RN Students

I just received my acceptance letter to a bridge program to a local community college. I am very excited since it is a limited class. I am a bartender and a LPN part-time. If any nurse out there has any advice for me that has gone through a similar program. I would greatly appreciate it.

When testing, answer the questions like you are in a perfect hospital - with all the orders/meds/supplies/time/and resources anyone could ever need. Do not let your real world experience play into the answers or you will be wrong. This was the problem bridge-students had at my school, they had life experience that kept interfering with the NCLEX-bound teaching of the program. Good luck!

Great advice awheat. Also, they are now focusing on infection control. Focus on that in your studies.

Thank you for the advice! I will have to keep that in the back of my head when testing. Anyone else out there?
