This position is with the Cardiovascular Services Department of Allegiance Health in Jackson, Michigan. Allegiance is a 480-bed system with more than 400 physicians and 3,700 staff members. The hospital boasts a new, $30,000 state-of-the-art Heart and Vascular Center which opened in February 2008 and partners with the University of Michigan.

The Executive Director of Cardiovascular Services will be responsible for establishing and attaining strategic goals in collaboration with the physicians in the respective areas. The Executive Director oversees the provision of quality in the Cardiovascular Services Operating Room, Cardiac Universal Bed Unit, Vascular Lab, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Thoracic Surgery. The Director will also be responsible for community outreach initiatives; will integrate decisions of committees into the operation and activities of the department; and will ensure the achievement of organizational mission, values, and goals.

Preferred applicants will have experience with both open heart surgery and cardiology services and will have a clinical background.
