Dedicated to all Nurses from my book 'Poetic Interpretations of My Inner Thoughts'

Thank you Nurse

What would I do without you
When I am feeling pain,
What would I do without you
When I become ill again.

I am sick, there is fear,
But you were here nurse,
Doing all you can;
You always show me that you care.

Others show concern,
They perform their duties each taking their turn.
They do their jobs with kindness,
The young ones willing to learn.

But you nurse; you are ever by my side,
You bring me hope, you follow through
Even when everyone else thinks that
There is nothing else to do.

You are everyone’s eyes and ears,
You seem always to understand.
With your skills, your knowledge and your perception,
You are there to lend everyone a helping hand and give directions.

So I will pause to take this time to say,
You are always there to care.
The important and special role you play;
Without you, how could we survive day by day.
