Is this legal? the family had been shown how to do it in the office and had major reservations about doing it. Does anyone know if this is legal in CA.
Moving to your city @May. Would love to hear about the nurse to pt ratio at your hospital.
Expected salary for a RN with many years of med-surg experience.
I failed in Foundations. Today is the begining of my new semester. With less confidence, I'm going to my class today. Just wishing some one would say some encouraging words....

I took a new position back in July with Utilization Review and am now finding myself in the place of having to write an appeals letter/request at the second level for Medicare. Does anyone have any suggestions for resources or where to go with this?
The LTC home I work at is implementing the 60 patients to 1 nurse policy- and I have to work it tonight. I don't want to do it, but until I get another job , I have to. My supervisor is not one to help and I am tempted at this point to make her cover for my lunch. It will mean I get out an hour later but their trying to cut corners at mine and the patient expense and I find it to be unsafe and unfair. I know the state of NJ says its allowable- but would you do it? Would you put your loved one in
In the State of Michigan, can an LPN prepare patients for IVs.
What are limitations?
I'm a final year nursing student with 4 months before graduation. I feel out of the loop because my colleagues all seem to have a focus. I consider myself a bit of a generalists seeing as I have felt comfortable in every clinical setting I have been placed in thus far. I know that my best qualities would be most useful to the healthcare community in some form of administrative role. am currently seeking more information about community nursing and case management. I'm
This is my first time on the site but I need some very important input from as many of you as possible. Our facility is currently considering switching from Bard Power and Solo PICC lines to the Teleflex line. In the past we had found many problems with using this product, but the company is now claiming that the product is "New and Improved" and it offers a significant cost savings. I would like feedback from anyone currently using these lines concerning complications, ease or difficulty
Hi Everyone!! I am a proud new graduate RN, in pursuit of finding a job, which seems at times impossible. If there is any help, leads, suggestions, and or advise on how to land an interview to get the job please send it my way. Looking forward to some positive feedback
I used to want to control everything. I wanted smooth work days. I would get frustrated with co-workers who didn't see things my way. I'd get angry when people were late. I'd feel uncomfortable and unhappy when things didn't turn out as I had planned; especially at work.
Have you ever had an experience like this? You arrive to your nursing unit on time and ready for report. Since yesterday you worked a 12 hour shift you admitted the afternoon transfer. Not only that, but you took

Can anyone help me? I'm going to clinicals in February need peds help. I can't really afford to buy those online study materials, so I've been studying with material that was given to me. Can anyone give me some advise on peds. Like diaper changes and weighing the diaper. Also, i was told if they were less than one years of age you would have to gown up. Could anyone please clarify and give me some added advise. It would be greatly appreciated.
I've finally decided to head in a different direction in nursing and I am excited about it. I want to become a certified legal nurse consultant. I am concerned about the availability of jobs in my area and where there is a need for one of these nurse specialists.
Can anyone out there give me any kind of information?
