Been crazy busy with adminsitering hundreds of flu shots for young and old. More facilites mandating shots for the students too. We are almost out of in-active and cannot order more because they are working on H1N1. The rest will have to wear masks for clinicals. We do have plenty of live FluMist left. Sometimes in life everything goes smooth. Othertimes, the road is rocky and we find ourselves in a state of transition. I recently moved my mother and grandfather in with me. Taught class today. Love to see the delight in the nurses when they get that first IV after time away from clinical care. Performing the skills and seeing you still have it is such a confidence booster for the nurse refreshers.

Volunteered along with several of my Nurse Refresher students at Channel 2 News Swine Flu phone bank. We received short notice but, several nurses agreed to come and help. Lots of calls from the public with various questions. I think it went a long way to calming peoples fears.
