We are getting new IV infusion pumps and are considering our present practice on blood product administration. Is there any evidenced based information on the correct way to administer blood products? What is the best and safest way for the patient, gravity or via infusion pump? Also can the pump damage the RBC's? What is the best practice in administering blood products?
