I am so proud to have spent 37 years in nursing. I always tell people considering nursing, "it's a great career and you can change directions and STILL be a nurse". Most of my time is spent writing now, health newsletter, policy and procedures , and patient safety issues. My contribution may not be at the bedside, but I still feel I am contributing to patient safety and patient care.
